What will live in our hearts are the heroes of the day, the firefighters, police, rescue personnel, the brave airline passengers and all that died on that sunny fall morning in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington.
This page and the kits offered are a tribute to each and every person that was touched by these events and the incredible spirit of the American people (of all races and faiths) along with the people of the world who stand with us.
This page is dedicated to all who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and those who will loose their lives in the pursuit of Freedom!!! The teardrops used in the "Oh Beautiful" ornament are dedicated to the tears shed in joy, pride, mourning, pain and patriotism.
We are a proud nation who have fought for our freedoms and will continue to do so no matter what land we originate from and no matter what religion. We are kind and gentle but feisty when provoked. With all our faults we strive for a better life for ourselves and others. God Bless America, Land that I love!
The song "America, the Beautiful", inspired two ornaments. The verse that inspired "911 Flag" is:
"O Beautiful for heroes prov'd
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved,
And mercy more than life.

And ev'ry grain divine."
The verse that inspired "Oh Beautiful" is:
"O Beautiful for patriot dream
that sees beyond the years.

Undimmed by human tears.
America! America! God shed his grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood,
From sea to shining sea."
I cannot think of better words to describe how it feels to be American. We are so proud of what we have accomplished since the birth of this country but mostly we are proud that we built this country on diversity of race and religion and that we love it enough to fight for it whether it be in war or rescue, fighting an enemy or helping our neighbor. We are a good people, even with our faults.
